Very pale straw-yellow colour with pale green hues on rim. This has a very tightly concentrated and intense bouquet of mineral and flint infused passionfruit aromas. There is an austerity to the expression, with gooseberry and nettle detail emerging in the glass. Dry to taste, tightly packed and very concentrated flavours of passionfruit and wet stones form a dense core. The mouthfeel is rounded, and offers a degree of accessibility. Very subtle textures and discreet acidity enhance the softness on palate, and the strength of flavours carry through to a fruity, mouthwatering finish. This is a concentrated Sauvignon Blanc with soft textures and a mouthwatering freshness. Serve with seafood and poultry over the next 2+ years. Fruit from the Dillons Point estate vines planted in 2003, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 3.5 g/L rs, the wine aged on light lees. 17.5+/20 Apr 2013 RRP $22.99
