Zephyr Marlborough Riesling 2012

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-Apr-2013
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues. The bouquet is elegantly proportioned with good intensity of pure white floral aromas along with limes, lemonade and wet stones. Dry to taste, bright, lively and lifted lime and lemon fruit flavours show with excellent poise between rich succulence and thirst-quenching acidity. The palate has very fine textures and the flavours flow very smoothly with a racy crispness and freshness underlining the mouthfeel. The flavours are very long and lingering, showing subtle citrus and minerally elements. This is a classical dry Riesling with a striking balance of sweetness and acid freshness. Serve as an aperitif or with shellfish and delicate seafoods over the next 4-5 years. Dillons Point fruit from 3ha of vines planted in 1993, hand-picked and fermented to 12.0% alc. and 8 g/L rs, with TA 8.94 and pH 2.86. 18.0+/20 Apr 2013 RRP $22.99
