Dillons Point fruit from vines established in 1993, fermented with 3% by indigenous yeasts in old oak with skins to 14.0% alc. and approx. 8 g/L rs. Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on edge. The nose is gently ethereal and pure, opening to become voluminous with very fine, concentrated aromas of rose-petals and exotic florals. Off-dry to taste, beautiful flavours of exotic florals, rose water and minerally musk form a deep and weighty core. The mouthfeel is soft and seamless with rounded textures. The acidity is harmonious, enlivening the fruit expression, and along with some alcohol generosity, drives the palate to a long, soft and dry finish that balances varietal bitterness with luscious honied and musky notes. This is a smooth and seamless, exotic, floral-flavoured, off-dry Gewurztraminer with good drive. Serve with Middle Eastern or Asian cuisine over the next 3-4 years. 18.5+/20 Apr 2013 RRP $22.99
