Zaria Hawke’s Bay Rosé 2018

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 13-Sep-2018
Bright, very pale cerise-pink colour with some depth and light purple hues on the rim. The nose is fresh and fragrant with bright aromas of strawberries and cream entwined with red florals, a little confectionary and some fresh fermentation esters. This has a firm core with subtle spice and mineral suggestions. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate has a softly textured and rich mouthfeel with gentle flavours of strawberries and cream, cherries, lifted violet florals, with confectionary nuances and some fermentation esters. The flavours grow in liveliness and are mouthwatering, and flow along a smooth line with fresh lacy acidity leading to a slightly phenolic finish. This is a smooth and harmonious, slippery dry rosé with softly mouthwatering strawberry and cherry fruit with some confectionary lift. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years. 100% Malbec cool-fermented to 12.0% alc. and 1.52 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Sep 2018 RRP $20.00
