Yves Cuilleron St Joseph Blanc ‘Lyseras’ 2009

Blended White from France - Rhone
Review Date : 10-Mar-2011
50% Roussanne and 50% Marsanne from sandy, granite soils, fermented to 13.0% alc., then aged 9 months in barriques. Bright, full, light golden yellow in colour, this has a full, fresh bouquet of exotic tropical fruits with some spicy herbs and a creaming soda aroma intermingling with lees work and oak. Dry on palate, this is a full and soft wine, with a Viognier-like apricot flavour. Quite open and approachable, the richness is countered by mouth-watering acidity. An opulent wine, drinking well now.  Mar 2011
