Yves Cuilleron ‘Les Vires’ Cornas 2007

Syrah from France - Rhone
Review Date : 10-Nov-2017
Dark, deep, impenetrable black-red colour with garnet hues on a slightly lighter edge, still youthful in appearance. The bouquet features firm, deep black fruit aromas with smoky, savoury gamy fruit, with underlying perfumes. The nose is solid, but possesses a sense of elegance overall. Rich, lush and sweet-fruited, the flavours of black fruits are complexed by game notes, a touch of brett? If so, then totally acceptable here. Very good freshness and acidity, with fine-grained, flowery tannins, this has come together with style. This has secondary interest now. Another 6-8 years ahead easily though. 12.5% alc. 18.5+/20 Nov 2017 RRP $110.00
