Yves Cuilleron Condrieu ‘Les Chaillets’ 2009

Viognier from France - Rhone
Review Date : 10-Mar-2011
100% Viognier from the best and oldest vines, fermented to 13.5% alc., then aged 9 months in barriques. ‘Chaillets' means ‘Terraces'. Bright light straw-yellow with a golden hue, this is full on bouquet with refined, perfrumed, exotic fruits, quite pure and intense. Savoury complexities, minerals, oak and spices unfold with air time. This is dry, tight and showing lovely purity and density of fruit. The finesse is the feature, and the palate possesses great line and length. A wine that will develop over 4-6+ years easily.  Mar 2011
