Yves Cuilleron Condrieu ‘La Petite Cote’ 2009

Viognier from France - Rhone
Review Date : 10-Mar-2011
100% Viognier fermented to 13.5% alc., aged 9 months in barriques. Bright straw yellow with golden hues, this has a very fine and intense nose of apricots, muscat-like grapiness and some cooler herbal notes. Still exotic, and showing some oak. Dry on palate, this is an up-front wine with plenty of apricot, floral and grapy flavours. Not quite the richness and breadth here, and finishing quite dry and firm, and a touch of alcoholic heat showing. Drinking now to 3 years.  Mar 2011
