Yering Station ‘Yarrabank Cuvee’ Traditional Method 2010

Sparkling Wine from Australia - Victoria
Review Date : 18-Jun-2015
A collaboration wine between Champagne Devaux and Yering Station. An equal blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, fermented to 13.0% alc. and 3.2 g/L RS, without MLF, the wine aged 4 years on lees. Deep straw colour with slight green hues. This is dry to taste and medium bodied with good mousse. The mouthfeel is fresh with firm stonefruit aromas along with a fine thread of bready, yeasty autolysis underlining the fruit. The palate emphasises the fruit core, with refreshing acidity in support. The autolysis is integral and the 4 years on lees quite sensitive to the fruit. Vigorous, but refined phenolics, and good length. A smart bubbly. 17.5+/20 Jun 2015 RRP $42.95
