Yering Station ‘Village’ Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2012

Chardonnay from Australia - Victoria
Review Date : 18-Jun-2015
Younger vine fruit barrel-fermented to 12.5% alc., the wine aged 11 months in 25% new oak with batonnage, but no MLF. Bright, pale straw yellow colour. Very contemporary on bouquet with bold aromas of white stonfruits integrated with gunflint reductive complexities. Still firm and tightly concentrated. A statement on the nose. Quite an elegant presentation on palate, slender in proportion and restrained, with white stonefruit and citrus fruit flavours, the reduction integrated and more minerally tasting. Refreshing with a sense of style. 17.0+/20 Jun 2015 RRP $37.95
