Yering Station ‘Village’ Yarra Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia - Victoria
Review Date : 18-Jun-2015
Dark, deep, black-red colour, lighter on the edge. The bouquet is softly expressed with a core of blackcurrant and minty aromas, savoury olive-like elements and a little earthy secondary development. Medium-bodied and more elegant in proportion, this features a good deep core of blackcurrant and green olive fruit flavours. The mouthfeel is soft and accessible with modest extraction and depth, and mellowing acidity. There is good fruit sweetness that carries through to a soft finish. This is easy and maturing to enable drinking now and over the next 3 years. Fruit fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged 11 months in 25% new French oak. 16.5+/20 Jun 2015 RRP $37.95
