Yealands ‘Land Made’ Marlborough Pinot Gris 2017

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 25-Sep-2017
Bright, even, very pale straw-yellow colour. The nose is very fresh and tightly bound with fine aromas of white stonefruits with notes of exotic florals, along with nuances of nuts and minerals. This builds to show a fine intensity. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has an elegant core with fragrant white stonefruits entwined with exotic florals and pears, unfolding fermentation esters. The palate is fruit-focussed and form a fine, concentrated line, and the wine carries with some underlying power to a lingering finish of florals, stonefruits and esters. This is an elegant, dry Pinot Gris with a fine core of stonefruits, florals and esters, with positive linearity and a lingering finish. Match with Thai, Vietnamese of Japanese fare over the next 3 years. Marlborough Pinot Gris fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Sep 2017 RRP $18.95
