Yealands Estate ‘Private Label’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 18-May-2011
Bright, very pale, straw-green yellow colour, the bouquet has elegant, tightly bound gooseberry and mineral aromas with a touch of steel and the seaside. Dry, elegant and with delicate fresh herb, gooseberry and mineral flavours, this is clean and pure in expression. Moderately rich, the wine is fine textured and subtle, with crisp acidity leading to a dry finish. Fruit from two blocks in the Waihopi Valley, cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 4.0 g/L rs. Serve with sushi, shellfish and mild Asian cuisine over the next two years. 16.5+/20 May 2011 RRP $18.50
