Yalumba ‘Y Series’ South Australia Shiraz/Viognier2015

Blended Red from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 30-Apr-2017
Dark, even, ruby-red colour with slight purple hues, lighter edged. The nose is elegantly voluminous with gentle aromas of dark-red berry fruit along with red florals, raspberry fruit, spices and a little black pepper. The nose is harmoniously presented. Medium-full bodied, the palate is bright and sweetly ripe with aromatic dark-red and black-berried fruits, lifted by florals, stonefruits and spices. The mouthfeel is bright, lively and refreshing, the sweet fruit enlivened by fresh, lacy acidity, and the palate flows along a well-balanced, finely extracted line, leading to a vibrant, juicy finish. This is an attractively bright, sweet and juicy Shiraz/Viognier with aromatic dark-red and black fruit flavours, along with florals and spices on a fresh, balanced palate. Serve with Asian fare over the next 3 years. A blend of Shiraz and Viognier, the fruit from South Australia, fermented to 14.5% alc. 17.5-/20 May 2017 RRP $16.95
