Yalumba ‘Y Series’ South Australia Pinot Gris 2017

Pinot Gris from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 25-Mar-2018
Bright, even, pale straw-yellow colour. The nose is fresh with delicate aromas of white stonefruits along with a subtle amalgam of white florals, with suggestions of nuts, smoke and minerals, This is clean and pure in expression, the aromatics forming a fine core. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has light flavours of white stonefruits entwined with floral, nutty and mineral notes. The palate has moderate depth and presence, the fruit forming a light heart and line. The wine flows smoothly with integrated acidity, leading to a light finish. This is a light-flavoured dry Pinot Gris with stonefruit, floral, nutty and mineral flavours, a smooth flow and moderate presence and length. Serve as a aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years. South Australian fruit, hand-picked and WBP, indigenous yeast fermented on full solids to 12.5% alc. and 2.4 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees. Winemaker: Heather Fraser. 15.5+/20 Mar 2018 RRP $16.95
