Deep, dark ruby-red, slightly lighter on the rim. The nose is full, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, blackcurrant vine, violet, cedar and fine spice. Medium-full bodied, aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and violet, intermixed with blackcurrant vine, star anise and nutmeg. The fruit is elegant, overlying chalky minerals and fine tannins, and fresh acidity carries a long finish. Match with strip loin steak and shepherd's pie over the next 8 years+.
