Review Date : 30-Sep-2021
Deep ruby-red with good transparency, lighter on edge. The nose is softly full and alluring, attractive aromas of strawberries, blueberries cherries are layered with spice, melded with subtle savouriness. Medium-bodied, nuances of strawberries, blueberries and cherries are juicy, adorned by cinnamon, nutmeg and pepper. The mouthfeel is rounded and creamy, flows along with soft powdery tannin. This is a bright and juicy GSM on a smooth, powdery palate. Match with lean meat and curry over the next 3 years. Wild fermented to 13.5% alc, 10% aged 10 months in new French oak hogsheads and puncheons, balance in 1 year and older French and American oak puncheons, hogsheads and barriques. Vegan friendly. 17.5/20 pts (88 pts) Sept 2021 RRP $26
