Yalumba Paradox Shiraz 2021, Barossa Valley

Shiraz from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 15-Apr-2025
☆☆☆☆☆
Deep, inky ruby-red, even colour throughout. The nose is full and layered with aromas of blackberry, Doris plum, herb, eucalyptus, violet and spice. Medium-full bodied, aromas of blackberry and Doris plum are ripe, entwined with herb, star anise, violet and clove. The silky mouthfeel embraces ripe, fine-grained tannins and sweetly ripened fruit, unfolding a hint of iron minerals along the balanced acidity, closing on a long lingering. Match with wild boar and braised lamb over the next 10 years. Fermented in open-top oak vats to 14% alc, aged in French oak puncheons. Vegan friendly. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) Apr 2025 RRP $36
