Yalumba ‘Galway Vintage’ Barossa Shiraz 2015

Syrah from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 24-Nov-2016
Dark, deep, black-hued red colour with a youthfully purple edge. The nose is full and deep with harmoniously ripe and sweet aromas of dark raspberries and blackberry fruit along with subtle layers of boysenberries and jam, with eucalypt notes. Medium-full bodied, the palate features juicy and succulent flavours of dark raspberries, blackberries, plum jam, blue fruits and eucalypt. The mouthfeel is lush and fleshy with light, supple tannin extraction and balanced, background acidity. The fruit is the focus and the flavours carry through to a softly concentrated, lingering finish of raspberries, black fruits and eucalyptus. This is a sweet, juicy and fleshy Shiraz with ripe dark raspberry, blackberry, boysenberry and eucalypt flavours on a supple, accessible palate. Match with roasted and barbecued red meat dishes over the next 4 years. Fruit from Barossa growers, fermented to 14.5% alc. in static Potter and rotary fermenters. 17.0+/20 Nov 2016 RRP $19.95
