Yalumba Bush Vine Genache 2019, Barossa

Garnacha from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 21-Dec-2020
Bright, ruby-red with transparency, lighter edged in coral. The nose is soft, slowly opening with growing intensity, aromas of bramble, red currants, entwined with peppercorns and subtle florals. Medium-bodied, bright fruit notes of bramble, red currants have an elegant core and intensity interweaved with subtle floral notes. The wine flows with good energy and lively acidity, along a delicate phenolic line, carries notes of peppercorn dusting to a warm and fine finish. This is a bright fruited Grenache with flavours of bramble and red currants, with notes of peppercorns on a fine-textured phenolic line. Match with beef satay and Tuscan meatballs over the next 3-5 years. Fruit from 35 years old bush vines, fermented to 14% alc. Vegan friendly. 18-/20 pts (90 pts) Dec 2020 RRP $26
