Xanadu Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia - Western Australia
Review Date : 18-Jun-2015
Very dark, black-hued ruby-red colour. The bouquet is well-concentrated with intense aromas of ripe blackcurrant fruit melded with subtle cassis and herb notes. This is textbook Cabernet Sauvignon varietal expression with sensitive oak spice and lift. Rich and sweetly ripe, lush blackcurrant and cassis fruit flavours feature with depth and drive. The fruit is supported by positive extract and supple tannins, providing structure, weight, presence and fine textured grip to balance the sweetness. Some oak toastiness emerges on the long, lingering finish. This is a classical, rich and balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. It will develop greater interest over the next 5-7 years. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 14 months in 40% new French oak. 18.0+/20 Jun 2015 RRP $38.95
