Wynns ‘Black Label’ Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 1992

Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 30-Aug-2012
Dark, deep red colour with garnet hues and some bricking. The nose is raw and robust, quite brackish with herbaceous stalky aromas and some grubby undertones, suggesting spoilage. Medium-full bodied, quite firmly constituted with granular tannin grip, the acidity tending sour. Fruit in the stalky spectrum and raw in expression, along with savoury, unclean spoilage characters. This seems quite atypical and quite possibly oxidised. Wynns advises this was the "wettest vintage of the decade”, but bottles tasted were in good condition. 14.5-/20
