Wyebrook Estate ‘Premium Single Vineyard’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 05-Feb-2014
Bright pale straw-yellow colour with some green hues. This has a firm and intensely concentrated nose of cooler-spectrum grass and bean-like aromas, the bouquet displaying some secondary development characters. Dry to taste, light, but tightly concentrated flavours of grass and nettle-like fruit shows a cooler spectrum expression. Some bean-like notes are appearing. The mouthfeel is brisk, crisp and zesty, with a firm acid cut and bite. The palate has good depth and linearity, and the flavours are carried by the thirst-quenching acidity to a lingering finish. This is a tightly bound, intense, racy Sauvignon Blanc in the cooler spectrum, beginning to show bottle-age elements. Serve with Mediterranean fare over the next 18 months – 2 years. 13.0% alc. 15.5/20 Feb 2014 RRP $23.95
