Woven Stone Ohau Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 13-Feb-2011
Light pale straw-yellow in colour, this has a cool, almost brash expression of Sauvignon Blanc aromatics, displaying herbs, English gooseberries and nettles, along with a slight lift of volatility. Dry on palate, this is clean and fresh with a gooseberryish impact and good acidity. The flavours soften leaving attractive residual nuances lingering. An approachable and uncomplicated, zesty wine to drink as an aperitif, with seafood and salads, now and over the next 18 months. Hand-picked fruit cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and a dry 2.8 g/L rs. 16.0-/20 Dec 2010 RRP $17.95
