Woop Woop South Eastern Australia Shiraz 2010

Syrah from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 05-Mar-2012
Very full, even, near impenetrable purple-hued red colour. The nose is softly full with ripe black berry, plum, spices and pepper aromas, classically Shiraz. Medium-bodied and with a degree of elegance, bright fruit flavours of spicy plums, liquorice and pepper are underlined by fresh acidity, the palate possessing good tension and liveliness. Fine tannins support the fruit, and the slippery acidity carries through to a crisp, long finish with plenty of spice-infused fruit. A fresh, lively and rich fruited Shiraz to serve with Middle Eastern cuisine over the next 3-4 years. Shiraz fruit primarily from McLaren Vale and Wrattonbully fermented to 14.5% alc., a portion aged of the wine aged 9-12 months in French and American oak. 17.0+/20 Mar 2012 RRP $20.00
