Woop Woop South Eastern Australia Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 05-Mar-2012
Cabernet Sauvignon fruit primarily sourced from McLaren Vale fermented to 14.5% alc, a portion of the wine aged 9-12 months in French and American oak. Very dark, deep, purple-hued ruby-red colour, near impenetrable, a little lighter on rim. This has a full, soft nose of ripe, spicy black berry fruits with good density. Blackcurrant, liquorice, dark chocolate and oak nuances unfold in the glass. Medium-full bodied, this has ripe, juicy blackcurrant flavours lifted by elevated acidity. The tannins are modest, but combined with the fruit depth, this has a good core and palate line, which leads to a solid, long finish. Definably Cabernet Sauvignon, this is supple and rich. Match with roast beef, lamb or venison over the next 4-5 years. 17.0/20 Mar 20112 RRP $20.00
