Woollaston Nelson Riesling 2009

Riesling from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 06-Mar-2011
Made from fruit from Burke's Bank and Hope on the Waimea Plains with Upper Moutere grapes, cool-fermented to 12.0% alc. and 8.5 g/L rs, this has a bright pale straw-yellow colour with hints of green. The nose is elegant and harmonious, with citrus fruits, florals, honey and minerals, along with delicate notes of toast. Off-dry to taste, this has a lovely purity of lemon and lime fruit flavours complexed by subtle notes of honey, toast and minerals. The sweetness and acidity are in excellent balance, resulting in a touch of lusciousness with liveliness. Lovely citrus nuances linger on the sustained finish. Serve with seafood and Asian cuisine over the next 4-5+ years. 17.5/20 Mar 2011 RRP $19.00
