Wooing Tree ‘Tickled Pink’ Central Otago 2011

Sweet Wine from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 17-Oct-2011
A dessert rosé. Made from 100% Pinot Noir from the ‘Wooing Tree' site late-picked and fermented in stainless-steel, stopping at 9.5% alc. and 100 g/L rs. The wine was lees-stirred. Bright, moderately deep, light-pink colour with purple hues, this has a fresh, vibrant bouquet of raspberries, redcurrants, watermelon and candied cherries. Very sweet on the palate, lifted red berry fruit, cherry, gum-drops and honey flavours are enveloped by soft, unctuous, lush textures and richness. The acidity is gentle, enhancing the weight and richness, but the bright fruitiness is a feature and lingers with delicacy on the finish. Bright and fruity, but with a soft decadence, this will match summer fruit desserts over the next 3+ years. (375 ml) 18.0-/20 Oct 2011 RRP $38.00
