Wooing Tree Central Otago Pinot Noir 2008

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 04-Feb-2014
Lighter ruby-red colour with some garnet. This initially has cooler-spectrum fruit aromas of redcurrants and herbs alongside red cherry fruit. Some secondary dried herb elements show, and the nose unfolds detailed and intricate floral perfumes. Medium-full bodied and very elegantly presented, this is a striking wine in balance, with lifted, red floral and red berry fruit flavours that show subtle richness and lusciousness, countered by very fine textures and bright acidity. Spices, a little dried herb and game, along with oak notes add to the interest, and the palate follows a taut line carrying through to a seamless, lingering finish. This is still fresh and bright, and beginning its journey, and will develop over the next 6+ years easily. 19.0-/20Jan 2014 RRP $N/A
