Wooing Tree ‘Blondie’ Central Otago 2012

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 21-Sep-2012
A Blanc de Noir from 100% Pinot Noir fruit given minimal skin contact and stainless-steel fermented to 14.0% alc. and 6.2 g/L rs. Very light, peachy-pink blush, pale on rim. The bouquet is voluminous with fresh, delicate red berry, strawberry confectionary and lifted floral aromas, along with nuances of stonefruits and honey. Dry to taste, light red berry fruit and red floral flavours form a firm line along with a textural grip. This is up-front with good body and weight through the mid-palate, becoming lighter and subtly nuanced on finish. The acidity is balanced and the wine refreshingly firm. This is a fresh Blanc de Noir with red fruit expression and a dry, grainy palate that will match antipasto, poultry and pasta over the next 2-3 years. 16.5+/20 Sep 2012 RRP $28.00
