Wolf Blass ‘Red Label’ South East Australia Shiraz/Cabernet 2012

Blended Red from Australia - Other
Review Date : 21-Apr-2013
Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon from South East Australia fermented to 13.5% alc., a portion of the wine aged in French and American oak. Dark, deep, black-red colour with purple hues. The nose is well-proportioned with deep and solidly packed aromas of harmoniously intermixed black plums, pepper and spices. Some blackcurrant notes appear with some breathing. Medium-full bodied, ripe and lush boysenberry flavours show with pepper and Asian spice notes. This has good depth and density, the weight a positive component on palate. Supple tannins are in support, adding to the presence and structure. This is a fruity classic Australian red blend with good depth. Match with Middle Eastern and Mediterranean inspired fare over the next 4-5+ years. 17.5-/20 Apr 2013 RRP $9.99
