Wittmann Westhofener Riesling Trocken 2013

Riesling from Germany
Review Date : 03-Mar-2015
Bright, lemony straw colour with light golden hues. The nose is very refined, fresh and lifted with white and yellow florals. A steeliness adds to the freshness. Some reductive elements emerge in the glass. Dry to taste, clear flavours of florals and citrus fruits show with fine stone and mineral nuances. The palate is steely and zesty with crisp, bracing acidity, along with very fine textures providing a positive linearity. The phenolics carry the wine to a dry finish. This is a racy, cutting, dry Riesling. 4-5+ years. Rheinhessen. 13.0% alc. 17.5/20 Feb 2015 RRP $44.60
