Wittmann Westhofen Morstein Riesling Trocken GG 2013

Riesling from Germany
Review Date : 03-Mar-2015
Brilliant pale straw colour with light golden hues. This is tightly bound and very finely concentrated with intense aromas of savoury yellow florals melded with layers of honey, fennel and herbs, along with subtle and intricate mineral detail. Dry to taste, beautifully ripened yellow florals and citrus fruits are layered with flint, minerals, tropical fruits, smoke and herbs. The flavours show an intricate array of detail. The palate flows with excellent vitality and vibrancy, the energy enlivening the fine phenolic textures. This is very fine-featured, refreshingly lively, unfolding great detail, while exhibiting balance and harmony. A very individual wine of subtle complexities and harmonious balance. 10+ years. 12.5% alc. 19.0+/20 Feb 2015 RRP $94.15
