Wittmann Spatburgunder Rotwein Trocken 2012

Pinot Noir from Germany
Review Date : 03-Mar-2015
Moderately deep ruby-red colour with lighter garnet hues on edge. Lively dark cherry fruit aromas show earthy detail with mineral and nutty elements, along with reduction and oaky nuances. Dry and medium-full bodied, spicy and savoury cherry fruit flavours feature on a lively palate with acid cut. The wine is finely extracted and the wine follows a light tannin line. Subtle oak and earthy interest unfolds, carrying through to a light, restrained finish. This is a savoury, earthy, cherry-fruited Pinot Noir with a fresh and finely-structured mouthfeel. 4+ years. Rheinhessen. 13.0% alc. 17.0+/20 Feb 2015 RRP $37.15
