Wishbone Marlborough Chardonnay 2010

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 27-Mar-2011
Bright pale straw-yellow colour with green hues, this has full ripe citrus fruit and peach aromas with attractive butterscotch notes from malolactic conversion showing clearly. Dry on palate, with good body at 14.0% alc., the palate is richly flavoured with citrus fruits and buttery elements along with a hint of sweet oak, the wine showing good depth and presence. The textures are smooth and creamy, the butterscotch malolactic elements dominating a little. However, this has good acid balance and a long finish, making it an accessible and satisfying Chardonnay. 100% Marlborough fruit undergoing partial fermentation with oak and MLF. Match with poultry and pork over the next 2-3 years. 17.0-/20 Mar 2011 RRP $12.99
