Deep ruby-red, even colour throughout. The nose is rich, with aromas of cassis, plum, blackberry, toasty spice and cedar. Full-bodied, aromas of cassis, blackberry and plum melded with clove, star anise and toasty oak elements. Lively acidity binds the juicy fruit, and toasty oak enriches and leaves a firm tannin grip.
