Wise Owl ‘Swooping’ Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 24-Jun-2014
Bright, very pale straw-yellow colour with green hues, near colourless on rim. The nose is fresh and elegant with tight and intense, lifted aromatics, showing pure grassy and gooseberry fruits, revealing esters and exotic florals, the bouquet growing in depth with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, lush and juicy, refreshing fruit flavours of gooseberries are enriched by soft, pungent, passionfruit notes. The mouthfeel is easy, sweet and even, with a moderately deep core leading to a light, long and lingering finish. This is a soft, lush and accessible Sauvignon Blanc with aromatic, gooseberry and pungent fruit. Serve as an aperitif, with salads and vegetables, and goats cheese over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit fermented to 13.0% alc. and 4.2 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Jun 2014 RRP $12.95
