Dark, moderately deep ruby-red colour with youthful purple hues. The nose is soft and restrained, but with good presence, showing ripe dark cherry and raspberry fruit aromas, along with slight minerally elements, revealing raspberry liqueur and liquorice nuances with aeration. Medium-full bodied, bright and up-front fruit flavours of dark cherries and raspberries are the feature on the palate. This is juicy and lively, the fresh fruit enhanced by the acidity and the mouthfeel has a robustness from granular tannins. The wine carries to a red-fruited, dry and textural finish with spice notes. This is an up-front, lively Pinot Noir with a grainy, robust structure and juicy fruit. Serve with pasta, poultry and pork, as well as barbecued fare over the next 4+ years.
