Very pale straw-yellow colour, this has a very fine, penetrating nose, quite slender in proportion, with aromas of apricots, white peaches, exotic tropical fruits and minerals. The bouquet is striking and has elegance. Very dry and tight, quite closed, but clearly with depth and density, the flavours of apricot kernels, stonefruits and minerals are more linear than opulent. Fine textures and soft acidity enable accessibility. This is a tight and minerally, dry Viognier with a strong bouquet. It will develop over the next 3-4+ years. Fruit from the ‘Goode’ vineyard in Charleston, Adelaide Hills, indigenous yeast fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0$ alc. and 1 g/L rs. 18.0/20 Apr 2013 RRP $30.00
