Wild South Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 07-Dec-2015
Bright, very pale straw-yellow, near colourless on the rim. The nose is very fresh and tightly bound with intense aromas of gooseberries, limes, capsicums, unfolding cut grass and white floral elements. This is pure and has cut. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate is tightly bound with flavours of gooseberries with subtle notes of passionfruit and cut grass. Capsicum and floral notes provide lift. The mouthfeel is slippery with brisk acidity and the wine follows a fine-textured line with good energy, carrying through to a dry, light, lingering gooseberry flavoured finish. This is an elegant, refreshing, gooseberryish Sauvignon Blanc with a dry, lingering finish. Serve as an aperitif and with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented to 12.4% alc. and 3.7 g/L RS. 17.0+/20 Dec 2015 RRP $17.99
