Wild South Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-Jan-2015
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim. The nose is fresh and elegant with clean and pure aromas of gooseberries and passionfruit lifted with subtle herbal notes, revealing a little grass and mineral interest. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, this has a soft core of harmoniously integrated passionfruit and gooseberry flavours. The mouthfeel is smooth flowing with slippery and racy acidity providing good energy. A fine phenolic thread guides the palate to a dry, mouthwatering finish with zesty acid. This is a smooth and racy Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and gooseberry flavours. Serve with seafood and tapas over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented to 12.0% alc. and 2.2 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Jan 2015 RRP $17.99
