Wild South Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 10-Aug-2013
Bright, very pale straw colour with green hues, near colourless on rim. The bouquet is very fine and intensely penetrating with aromas of sweet lime fruit and ripe passionfruit, with fresh herb and citrus fruit, lifted by fermentation esters. Dry to taste, tightly bound flavours of clear and gently succulent passionfruit and citrus fruits show with good depth. The mouthfeel is soft and harmonious, enlivened by lacy acidity. The flavours flow smoothly through the palate, carrying to a moderately long and sustained finish with lush passionfruit nuances. This is a refreshing, sweet fruited and aromatic Sauvignon Blanc with smooth passionfruit flavours. Match with Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 3.85 g/L RS, with 7.5 g/L TA and 3.1 pH. 17.5/20 Aug 2013 RRP $19.99
