Wild Rock Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-Oct-2016
Bright, very pale straw, near colourless on the rim. The nose is fresh, up-front and accessible with sweetly ripe aromas of passionfruit entwined with tropical fruits and subtle notes of fresh and dark herbs, the nose growing in volume and depth with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate possesses sweetly ripe, juicy and succulent , open and easy flavours of passionfruit with notes of fresh herbs. The mouthfeel is bright, lively and refreshing and underlined by light, grainy phenolics balancing the fruit sweetness and lending a dryness as the wine carries to a passionfruity finish with some grip. This is an up-front, accessible Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and tropical fruit flavours and a lively mouthfeel with some drying grip. Serve with salads and vegetables, and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 3.0 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Oct 2016 RRP $18.99
