Wild Rock Marlborough Pinot Gris 2016

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-Oct-2016
Bright, very pale straw colour with a suggestion of green hues, near colourless on edge. This has a fresh and firm nose with aromatic white stonefruits and notes of exotic florals and honeysuckle that build in intensity, revealing some underlying dive and power. Dry to taste, this has a refreshing and bright palate with a crisp, steely and positive line of white stonefruits, exotic florals and honeysuckle that form a tight core. The palate has definite textures, balanced by lively acidity, and the concentrated core carries to a lingering finish of stonefruits and lifted florals. This is a tightly concentrated, lively dry Pinot Gris with exotic stonefruit, floral and honied flavours, on a fine-textured, refreshing, linear palate. Match with Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine over the next 3 years. Marlborough fruit fermented in stainless-steel to 13.1% alc. and 4.3 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Oct 2016 RRP $18.99
