Wild Rock ‘Elevation’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 12-Feb-2011
An unusual blend of 86% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Riesling and 4% Viognier, 14% whole bunch with fermentation in seasoned French oak barriques and stainless-steel to 13.9% alc and 3.5 g/L rs. Very pale straw yellow with green hues to the colour, this has a softly broad, but fresh aromatic bouquet of herbs, gooseberries, citrus fruits and florals. Dry to taste, this is clean and cutting, with a gentle, almost ethereal expression of fruit that dances across a soft palate, finishing with a pretty floral sweetness. An aperitif wine to drink over the next 2+ years. 16.5+/20 Jan 2011 RRP $21.95
