Wild Rock ‘Cupid’s Arrow’ Central Otago Pinot Noir 2009

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 15-Apr-2011
Medium deep ruby-red colour, this has a bright, up-front, voluminous bouquet with pretty raspberry, cherry and floral aromas, lifted by youthful esters and some jam and confectionary notes. A medium-weighted wine, this has bright, juicy, jammy, raspberryish fruit flavours with some cherry fruit on a moderately extracted palate that has soft, supple tannins allowing real approachability. A crowd-pleasing lush Pinot Noir to serve with salmon, tuna, pasta and poultry over the next 3-4 years. All Central Otago fruit, 10% whole bunch, fermented to 14.4% alc. and aged 14 months in 20% new French oak barriques. 16.5+/20 Apr 2011 RRP $21.95
