Wild River Waipara Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 24-Jun-2016
Bright straw-yellow colour with light green-gold hues, pale on the rim. The nose is soft, light and uncomplicated with gentle aromas of passionfruit intermingling with gooseberries, green capsicums, herbs and cut grass. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate possesses light and soft flavours of passionfruit and gooseberries along with cooler spectrum green capsicum, herb and cut grass notes. The mouthfeel is soft with a light palate presence and gently drying textures, with integrated, but fresh acidity. The flavours recede as the wine carries to a light, dry-textured finish of passionfruit and herbs. This is a soft, light, up-front Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and cut-grass flavours, and a dry finish. Serve with salads and vegetables over the next 18 months to 2 years. A single vineyard wine, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc., and 4 g/L RS. 15.5/20 Jun 2016 RRP $12.99
