Wild River Waipara Valley Pinot Noir 2015

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 24-Jun-2016
Ruby-red colour with purple hues and a dark heart, lighter edged. This has a firm and moderately concentrated nose with aromas of dark red berry and black cherry fruit entwined with notes of dark herbs, revealing a little minerally reduction with aeration. Light-medium bodied, light and easy flavours of raspberries and strawberries are intermixed with soft herbal notes. The palate is soft, rounded and gentle with modest extraction and integrated acidity. The fruit forms a light core and line that leads to a lingering, bound finish of red berry fruits and herbs. This is a light and easy Pinot Noir with a core of red berry fruits and soft herbal notes. Serve with antipasto and pasta dishes over the next 2+ years. A single vineyard wine, fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine aged 12 months in seasoned oak. 15.5/20 Jun 2016 RRP $16.99
