Wild River North Canterbury Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 12-Dec-2017
Bright, light straw-yellow colour, paler on the edge. The nose is softly full and gently packed with aromas of fresh, pungent passionfruit along with fresh and dark herbs, fragrant white florals and nuances of minerals. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate has an elegantly rounded core of passionfruit, and fresh and dark herbs, green stonefruits, floral elements and cut-grass suggestions. The palate is gently taut, with soft, lacy acidity providing freshness, and the wine flows along a soft line, leading to a light, lingering finish of passionfruit and herbs. This is a softly concentrated Sauvignon Blanc with a core of pungent passionfruit flavours with herbs, florals and cut-grass on a smooth- flowing palate. Match with salads and vegetables, and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Estate fruit fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc. and 5 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Dec 2017 RRP $11.95
