Chardonnay from New Zealand - Central Otago & Waitaki
Review Date : 20-Nov-2025
Bright, even, pale yellow. The nose is softly full, with aromas of citrus, floral, flint and creamy details. Medium-full bodied, aromas of lemon, peach and grapefruit, interwined with cream, roasted nuts and flint. The fruit has a lifted presence and is supported by invigorating acidity. The creamy palate is well-integrated with the barrel-fermented elements, lending a long, elegant finish. Match with pork and grouper over the next 5+ years. Fruit from the Highgrange Vineyard in Pisa, 52% clone 95 and 48% Mendoza, fermented with full solids and wild yeasts, underwent full MLF, minimal stirring. Fermented and aged for 9.5 months in French oak, 5% new oak. 14% alc. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) Nov 2025 RRP $35
